In a Pink Room – Sarah Zaki

Mashrabia Gallery of Contemporary Art is thrilled to launch the season with Sarah Zaki’s debut solo exhibition, A Room Full of Strangers.

Sarah Zaki’s work interrogates unstable identities shaped by societal narratives, using expressionist-inspired distortions to reveal the performative and fragmented nature of self. Through both painting and bronze sculpture, she renders emotions as raw, shifting material rather than fixed meaning. Her practice resists resolution, offering evocative psychological sketches that invite reflection on how we see, and are seen, without demanding coherence.
