The Art Of Seeing

Talk: Art, Cinema, and Advertising
Venue: Major Murad Villa, Gezira Sporting Club – Zamalek

Join us for a thought-provoking talk exploring the dynamic interplay between three creative realms: visual art, cinema, and advertising. We’ll examine the shared aesthetic and conceptual foundations of these disciplines, and how the image has evolved into a dual-purpose medium—serving both artistic and functional roles.

The discussion will highlight how advertising draws inspiration from visual art in its use of composition, color, and symbolism, and how cinema transforms these same elements to build rich visual narratives. We will also reflect on how these three media shape contemporary visual awareness, influence public taste, and craft meaning in an age of speed and fleeting impressions.
